Family Service Nova Scotia’s Executive Team provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight across the organization. Working closely with staff, partners, and communities throughout the province, the team supports the delivery of programs and services while advancing the organization’s mission, values, and long-term goals. Together, they help ensure Family Service Nova Scotia remains responsive, accountable, and focused on meeting the evolving needs of Nova Scotians.

Family Service Nova Scotia is governed by a volunteer board of directors who represent the geographical diversity of the organization. This is a policy governing board which is responsible for overseeing the accomplishment of the purpose of the Organization.

The Board has written bylaws, committee terms of reference, roles and responsibilities, an orientation document and evaluation forms. All Board Members participate in Vulnerable Persons Screening Checks.

Board Members serve a three year term with the opportunity to renew their position for one further term.
