No. Family Service Nova Scotia is a non-profit agency governed by its own Board of Directors. The Department of Community Services is one of many funders of the organization.
There are no costs for Family Service Nova Scotia programs.
Family Service Nova Scotia has supports available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Specific hours vary by program. Many supports are available during day time and evening hours. Contact us to find out about the supports you are interested in.
Family Service Nova Scotia currently has offices in Glace Bay, Sydney, Port Hawkesbury, Antigonish, New Glasgow, East Preston and Kentville.
We also share space with community partners in other parts of the province and offer services by telephone and video to ensure our services are accessible to Nova Scotians.
