Our Staff
Our staff are a diverse group consisting of human service workers, social workers, counsellors, organizational assistants and teachers.
Staff with a professional designation are licensed with provincial or national regulatory bodies and follow the appropriate Code of Ethics.
All staff are expected to embody our organization values in all the work we do.
Our Human Service workers provide a wide variety of programs offering community based programs for children, youth and adults. They provide support through our Fatherhood Matters, Gender Based Violence, Sexual Violence Community Mobilization, Youth Outreach
Our Social Workers and Counsellors offer intensive counselling support. They can be found in many programs including Families Plus, Men’s, Women’s and All Gender’s Helplines, Strengthening Fathers, Therapeutic Supports, Youth Outreach Plus.
Our Organizational Assistants are often the first point of contact for our services. They provide critical administrative and organizational support to all the work we do.
Within Family Service Nova Scotia, Teachers support program development, co-ordination and program delivery for our Strengthening Fathers and Fatherhood Matters programs.
