Financial Literacy Program

Building on existing knowledge and strengthening money skills empowers people in our communities to make the right financial choices for themselves and their families, improving their financial resilience. That’s why Family Service Nova Scotia Child Youth and Family Learning Institute has partnered with East Coast Credit Union who have joined credit unions across the country to deliver the Each One. Teach One. Financial Literacy Program.

Each One. Teach One. teaches basic money skills in easy-to-understand terms to provide individuals with the knowledge they need to make financial decisions with confidence.

Volunteer credit union staff work with you to deliver workshops – virtually or in-person

From basic budgeting to home ownership, there is something for everyone in this program. Some of the benefits include: increased confidence, financial empowerment, stronger money management, improved financial decision-making, working towards financial goals, financial stability and wellness.
